Define an Execute a Command Action for a One-Step

Use the Execute Command Action to:

• Execute a command
• Run a report or Search Group
• Open a Calendar, Dashboard, or Visualization

To define an Execute a Command Action:

1. Create a One-Step.
2. On the General page in the One-Step window (accessed from within the One-Step Manager), click Add, and then select Execute a Command.

   The Execute Command window opens.

   

3. Define general properties for the Execute a Command Action:
   • Name: Provide a display name for the Action (this is how the Action is identified in the One-Step interface).
4. Select a command to execute:
   • Specific Command: Select this radio button to use a specific command for the Action to execute. Then, click the Ellipses button to open the Action Manager and select a command, Calendar, Dashboard, Search Group, Visualization, etc.
   • Command from Field: Select this radio button to select a Token from the active Business Object that holds a command for the Action to execute. Then, click the Selector button to open the Token Tree and select a value.

     Note: This option is only available if the One-Step is associated with a Business Object.

5. Click OK.
