Classify Phase

Workflow Bar Classify Phase

After an Incident is created and the initial details are recorded, the Incident automatically enters the Classify phase.

The following actions are completed during the Classify phase:

  1. Creator defines the Categorization (Service/Category/Subcategory).
  2. Creator selects the Priority level.
  3. Creator determines whether the Incident qualifies to be a Major Incident.
  4. Creator selects the Primary Configuration Item (CI) affected by the Incident.

The Incident enters the Investigate phase.
