Define a Delete a Business Object Action for a One-Step
Use the Delete Business Object Action to delete Business Objects, either the active Business Object or a related Business Object. For example, administrators can use this Action to perform a record cleanup of Journals, Tasks, etc.
Note: This Action is only available if the One-Step is associated with a Business Object when it is created.
To define a Delete Business Object Action:
- Create a One-Step.
- On the General page in the One-Step window (accessed from within the One-Step Manager), click Add, and then select Delete a Business Object.
The Delete Business Object window opens.

- Define general properties for the Delete Business Object Action:
- Name: Provide a display name for the Action (this is how the Action is identified in the One-Step interface).
- Define options for deleting records:
- Delete Current Record: Select this radio button to have the Action delete the active Business Object record (or current group of records, if you are running the One-Step against a group).
- Delete Related Record: Select this radio button to have the Action delete a related Business Object record. Then, select a Relationship in the drop-down. The Business Object that is owned by or linked to the active Business Object will be deleted by the Action.
- Prompt Before Deleting (In Application Only): Select this check box to have the Action prompt Users before deleting the Business Object. This gives Users the option to continue with or cancel the Delete Business Object Action.

- Click OK.
