Define Footer Properties for a Site

The Site Footer is located at the bottom of the Site, and can provide additional general information (such as a copyright notice) or aesthetic value. Use a Site's Footer Properties page to define:

  • What the Footer looks like (background color and image, and Footer image).
  • What and how text displays on the Footer (title, subtitle, and baseline text, fonts, and colors).
  • The Footer's height and position (relative to a margin).

To define Footer properties for a Site:

  1. Open a Site in the Site Editor (Go to Browser and Mobile Settings>Site Manager, then select a site and click Edit).

The Site Editor opens and displays a preview of the Site. The Site Properties window opens within the Site Editor and displays the Site's current properties.

  2. In the Properties window, click the Footer page.

  3. Edit the Footer properties:
    1. Show Footer: Select this check box to display a Footer at the bottom of the Site. Then, define how the Footer looks.
    2. Background: Select the color, image, and image alignment to display behind the Footer text.

Note: Use the Image Manager to select an existing image or import a new image. Images used for backgrounds are usually subtle, such as a grayed, partially transparent logo. However, a background image can also be a complex image (ex: a custom image that incorporates the name of the Site). The background color can be a solid color or a gradient.

    3. Image button: Select the image, image size (in pixels), and image alignment to display on top of the background.

Tip: This image displays on top of the background image so either align the images differently or design them to work in layers.

    4. Title (Footer): Specify a title to display on the Footer, and then select its color, alignment, and font.
    5. Subtitle: Specify a subtitle to display under the title on the Footer, and then select its color, alignment, and font.
    6. Baseline Text: Specify any additional text to display on the Footer, and then select its color, alignment, and font.

Tip: Use this for copyright notices or creation information.

    7. Fixed height: Select this check box to make the Footer a fixed height that you specify. If not checked, the Footer resizes to accommodate its text, images, and margins.
    8. Margins: Click this button to define top, bottom, right, and left margins (in pixels) around text. If not checked, the Footer uses defaults of zero (0).
  4. Click OK.
